Advertising that doesn't look like advertising

Advertising doesn't need to look like advertising. Nobody looks at advertising anyway, so you can make it appear like whatever is most convenient for the purpose: making your "advertised" websites score better with the search engines. For me that's the only purpose of advertising: getting my websites higher in the search engine rankings. I do not advertise to draw people to my websites, I do not advertise to sell a product, I do not advertise to let the world know how Jaap Verduijn is the best internet marketer in the world... no, I advertise to influence my search engine results. Easiest way to accomplish this is by creating lots of quality backlinks, preferably to different pages of the promoted sites. That's very hard to do with the usual online ads: often you can only have one link, straight to your main page. Not only that, but most of the time you can't even choose your own keywords or key phrases. Also, you're generally not allowed more than a 100 or so words, to wrap your links in. Unless, of course, you pay through the nose! Instead of letting yourself be robbed blind, why not simply do it yourself? Have a look at My Pet Classifieds which is, as you may have guessed by now, not really about pets nor classifieds, but about all the stuff I mentioned in this piece of intel.

Hey Jaap, can't agree more on that article as you already have mentioned. I mean if you have natural organic traffic to your sites then you would probably sell your products anyway. I hope there are coming more articles like that :) Keep it up.
